A picture-perfect Georgian manor house, The Woughton House has been an integral part of village life, in Woughton-on-the-Green, through the years. Built in 1813 & modernized in 1845 by Colonel Levi, The Woughton House was a family home until becoming a hotel in 1983.

It was built in 1813 in Civil parish of Woughton-on-the-Green. The Woughton House as seen today was remodeled in 1845 by Colonel William Levi and his wife Fanny from an earlier manor house. A talented musician, Colonel Levi ran the local Bletchley Musical Society for 21 years and in 1892 installed an organ and chamber into the neighboring St. Mary's Church. He and the church Rector governed the village and their contributions were deeply appreciated by the inhabitants.
In 1925 - Captain and Mrs. Barton bought The Woughton House and made many improvements including adding a tennis court and a cricket pitch. In 1937 – The Woughton House was purchased by General Oswald Blount and his brother Harold. The General was a local councilor and chairman of Woughton-on-the-green Parish Council. When the second world war broke out he commanded the Home Guard unit for the village transforming the house into Woughton's military organization centre.
